About The Artist

I’ve always loved art and animals. As a child I always had a pencil in my hand, usually sketching horses! I studied art to A level and afterwards life and work took over.

My love of art was rekindled  when I joined Sefton Art Group. This enabled me to  experiment with different styles and media including acrylics, watercolour and pastel.

I’ve taken part in lots of exhibitions including the Sefton Open at the Atkinson, Southport.

You can see examples of my artwork, including previous commissions, in Cat Portraits, Dog Portraits, Horse Portraits and Other Work.

If you are interested in having a portrait painted of your pet, please see my Commission a Portrait page for information.

Black Spaniel Pastel Pet Portrait

Recently, I took part in a 5 day pastel challenge led by Unison Associate artist and tutor Sue Kerrigan-Harris. The challenge was to paint a portrait of this lovely Black Spaniel, Bailey.
It was a wonderful experience with superb tuition from Sue and over 700 other artists took part.
