As a child I always had a pencil in my hand, usually sketching horses! I studied art to A level then work and family life took over. I’ve been a member of Sefton Art Group for several years and have gained experience using a variety of mediums and techniques. I naturally drifted into pet portraiture and started doing commissions a few years ago.

You can see examples of my artwork, including previous commissions, in Cat Portraits, Dog Portraits, Horse Portraits and Other Work.

If you are interested in having a portrait painted of your pet, simply email me at kath@petportraitsmerseyside.co.uk and send some photos of your pet. Alternatively fill in the Contact form on the Contact Me page.

Recently, I took part in a 5 day pastel challenge led by Unison Associate artist and tutor Sue Kerrigan-Harris. The challenge was to paint a portrait of this lovely Black Spaniel, Bailey.

It was a wonderful experience with superb tuition from Sue and over 700 other artists took part.
